It has been my honor to serve as the Senator for the 18th district since 2004. Over the course of the last eight years I have been proud to lead our efforts to forge a more conservative Georgia. We’ve lowered taxes significantly, cut the size of state government, and balanced our budget each and every year. We’ve brought conservative values and principles to state government as well as a respect of our Constitution. I was proud to lead the effort to make Georgia’s elections safer and fairer by enacting the voter id law and a requirement for proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Over these years I have risen to become the Majority Whip, the third ranking Republican leader in the Georgia Senate. Currently I serve on the Committee on Assignments, as well as the Appropriations, Transportation, Finance, Banking, and Reapportionment committees. Of course I could not do this without your support and your votes. It is indeed an honor to represent you under the gold dome in our state’s capital and to carry your values to state government. I thank you for your support and ask for your vote in the Republican primary and general election in 2012.
