Worship & Fine Arts Ministry

‘Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.’ (Psalm 95:1, 2 NIV) ‘Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.’ (Psalm 100:1, 2 NIV)

Worship is central in our relationship to God. Within the arts of music, drama, interpretive dance, expressions of praise and adoration are given to God Almighty, creator of all. Worship is a lifestyle. Within our services we believe in the expression of that worship and gratitude to God. God is our all. He is Holy and worthy of all praise. In the worship services and activities you can find a variety of ways to plug into praise and worship.

Praise and Worship Leaders Ministry
The Praise and Worship Leaders is an elite group of members dedicated to ushering the congregation into the Presence of the Lord in Sunday Worship Services and as requested for other special services. Leading Praise and Worship is all about Jesus! Not the singer or the musician. It is important that the singers are rooted and grounded in the Word, giving God all the glory, praise and thanks. Humbling themselves as they walk in their talents, allowing God to promote and exalt, to prevent their talent taking them where their integrity cannot keep them.

Music can convey our thanks to God. ‘The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. (Psalm 28:7 NIV)

Music can be joyful. Music can be praise to the Lord. ‘The trumpeters and signers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang . . .’ (2 Chronicles 5:13)

Music can be a prayer for forgiveness or a petition for help with trials threaten to overwhelm. It can be a medium to weld a diverse group of people into one accord. ‘When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.’ (Matthew 26:30 NIV)
